The cassette profile is a classic way of installing large sheets of material to large scale, repetitive projects. It is ideal for new projects and refurbishments on commercial projects. The sheets are mechanically fixed with rivets, screws, clips and hooks and installed directly to a gutter/rail support system. Cassette panels come in many colours and materials catering for most budgets and allowing projects to achieve the commercial look without the commercial price.
Some of its advantages include:
- Neat facade with no visible fixings
- Minimal maintenance
- Panel depth/express depth can be customised
- Ability to splay or taper panels
- Concealed fixing with clips and screws
Design Cladding Systems are installers of non-combustible cladding which has become increasingly sought after as a result of multiple serious building fires around the world. In Australia, buildings that have been found to have been clad in panels that don’t comply with building code requirements are now going through the process of having this cladding replaced. This applies mainly to high rise buildings as residential houses and commercial structures up to two-stories may still be clad in wood, brick, etc. which are combustible. Design Cladding Systems installs non-combustible cladding products such as Alcadex (aluminium composite) and solid Aluminium available in 3mm. Alcadex is the world’s No.1 certified non-combustible aluminium composite material, a non-combustible product made for the Australian Construction Industry and approved by the CSIRO.
It is important to note, however, that there is no material anywhere in the building industry that is 100% fire-proof. Design Cladding Systems works with architects and councils to ensure we install the highest quality materials and meet the building code. As long as the correct product is being installed using the correct installation methods in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and the Australian building code, the work is compliant.
If you are concerned about the cladding on your building, we offer an inspection and report giving you clarity on the type of cladding you have on your property and if the installation meets the manufacturers and Australian Building code guidelines.
